The Short Snorter Project
Capt John Earl Leach of Vincennes, Indiana, carried this short snorter while serving in the China-Burma-India Theatre of
Operations as a C-46 pilot flying 'The Hump'. His nephew, who wishes to remain anonymous, writes, "I came into
possesion of the bill via my aunt then my mother who were sisters. My uncle has no living relatives that are known to
me. He died in the early 60's and was in his thirties and already a pilot when the war started. I hope that there may be
chance that this may be of interest to someone."
