Virtual Museum D. Ray Comish Short Snorter
The Short Snorter Project
Banknote: US 1 dollar Silver Certificate - Submitted by: Linda Williford (daughter of D. Ray Comish) - Date Posted: 9.27.07
Linda Williford contacted me on 9/17/07 regarding the Harry Hopkins short snorter stating, "I can identify one of the
unknown signatures on the Harry Hopkins short snorter. D. Ray Comish was my father, he was a Flight Engineer for
Pan American Airlines and was part of the crew that flew Roosevelt and his entourage to Casablanca aboard the Dixie
Clipper." Gary Schulze, owner (curator) of the Harry Hopkins short snorter, was immediately notified of this great news.
Gary wrote, "This is absolutely amazing, Tom. Its shows the value and popularity of your website. I will call Linda to
thank her. This is one name I never would have been able to identify without your help. Thanks again."
The really good news is that Linda sent in scans of her father's short snorters and other supporting documentation...
