The Short Snorter Project
Richard Mulberry, Jr., was appointed a Naval Aviator on August 8, 1942. He served in the United States Marine Corps in
World War II, Korea, and Vietnam before retiring with the rank of Major General. During World War II he was a member of
the original "Flying Goldbricks", Marine Corps Dive-Bombing Squadron VMSB-243, stationed in the South Pacific.
